The International Council of Religious Colleges and Universities (ICRCU) was founded 1998 as a network of universities/colleges which an interest in religious studies and is meanwhile registered as a non-profit entity in California, USA.

ICRCU is a select international alliance of universities/colleges which an interest in religious studies who share a commitment to excellence in research, scholarship and rounded education and where we honor the Scriptures and promote scholarship.
The International Council of Religious Colleges and Universities exists to protect, and preserve the traditional freedoms of private, quality faith-based, degree granting, institutions.
Our member institutions come from the whole American Continent, Asia, Africa and also from Europe.

Our Place in Higher Education:
According to the US National Center for Education Statistics, there are more than 4,300 degree-granting institutions of higher education in the United States.
These include nearly 2,600 private institutions, just over 1,000 of which define themselves as religiously affiliated.

Our Mission is:
1. To promote academic excellence
2. To promote quality, degree granting, faith based education
3. To represent member faith based educational institutions
4. To provide direction through knowledge of support services and resources for our member institutions

Our member institutions promote excellence in research-led education, in which students receive education from scholars at the cutting edge of their field.
Each member institution conducts research across a broad subject base in the field of Theology, Divinity, Philosophy and Religious Studies.
In the course of this, our members promotes a combination of academic learning and personal growth through extracurricular activities in diverse scholarly communities so as to develop rounded citizens of the world and also more tolerant and understanding people of faith.

Florida College for Philosophical and Religious Studies is very proud not only to be a member, but also to provide the international secretariat / office with immediate effect.
