A RELIGIOUS NOT FOR PROFIT COLLEGE FOR ALL PEOPLE

We offer higher education for all people, who believe in humanity and a creator.

The freedom and independence of education and research is now again under pressure of particular interests and political/ideological debates.
For this reason, we see our work as important, to create new solutions to complex problems in an uninfluenced, open dialogue with others.

The history of mankind teach us, what one individual or group may find insignificant or heretical, another scholar may be able to use it as the core of his findings.
In the spirit of true freedom, we would like to be a high-quality institution.

With the help of the latest technology and teaching aids, we offer you a top-class course of study to deal with the relevant issues of our existence.

We consider all religions as part of the Creator's Plan and seek the Creator's wisdom in everyone.

The FCPR have a number of collaborations with different religious bodies to explores the various resources that each faith has.
Through our higher education programs we also prepare students for religious vocations as ministers, professionals, or laypersons.

“Why should society feel responsible only for the education of children, and not

for the education of all adults of every age?”
Erich Fromm

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEOLOGY, DIVINITY AND RELIGIOUS STUDIES?

Theology is the study of religion.

It examines what faith means to different people and their cultures.

The Theologians think about and debate the nature of God, including the questions about the meaning of religion.

More importantly theology is the study of God’s nature and the belief in religion.

Theology has three distinct aspects:

-What God teaches us
-Doctrines that teach of God
-Paths that lead to God

Divinity refers to the quality or nature of God, a god (e.g. Zeus) or other religious being.

For example, in Judaism, divinity belongs to God alone.

But Orthodox Christians believe that Jesus is divine as well as human.

Jesus is God and man, and the second person of the Trinity; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Religious studies/the study of religion, is an academic field devoted to research into ALL religious beliefs, behaviors, and institutions.

It describes, compares, interprets, and explains religion, emphasizing systematic, historically based, and cross-cultural perspectives.
The courses in religious studies focus on the study of the sources, history, nature, and the relevance of religion.
Religious Studies investigates the most basic components of human society and culture.

The key to understanding the fundamental motivations for the behavior of human groups lies in the knowledge of religious beliefs and practices.

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions.

Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”
